Inspired by nature I create one-off embroidered & mixed media textile pieces, handmade cards, brooches, buttons & seasonal decorations, as well as the odd cat.
I’ve been a textile artist for over 20 years. I studied Fashion & Textile Design at the UCE in Birmingham gaining a BA(hons) degree in 1994. I set up my home studio when I moved to Sheffield in 1995 and have been creating and selling my artwork ever since. Nature has always inspired my work, from the landscape to the changing seasons and all its trees, leaves, flowers & birds. I work intuitively creating one-off pieces which capture the colour, texture & shapes I see around me. Working mainly with fabric & stitch I also use paints, pastels and collage to make mixed media pieces.
