Jude Shore

I use felt making, dyeing and embroidery techniques to make items for interiors and fashion accessories often taking inspiration from the dramatic Peak District landscapes.

I take inspiration from the world around me, in particular the rapidly changing weather, light and colours of the Peak District.

I use a variety of media and techniques in my work although the majority will usually have areas of wet or needle felting together with hand or machine embroidery in them. I like to work with natural fabrics and fibres and enjoy the challenge of reusing and recycling discarded scraps that would otherwise go to waste, turning these into unique surfaces using my embellisher machine. I like to hand dye or colour the fabrics and fibres I use to add to the individuality of each piece.

I make decorative and functional items for interiors or fashion accessories.

Recent work includes a series of landscapes inspired by incredible winter sunsets in the Peak District.
