Maggie Robinson

In my ‘Music of the landscape’ series I seek to interpret the rhythmic, melodious and harmonious qualities that abound in the beautiful English countryside.

My enduring love of the countryside stems from a very early age as I grew up in the beautiful landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors. I then trained as a teacher and graduated with an Education degree from London University.

Having followed a career in teaching, I then ran my own business in the fashion industry but also continually pursued my interest in painting and with Brian my husband, ran our own teaching studio for twenty years and taught artists from many countries on painting holidays both here and abroad.
I now work in our home studio on my ‘Music of the landscape’ series, finding inspiration in the surrounding beautiful landscape.

I am a member of Peak District Artisans, my work is represented in several galleries in Derbyshire, Cheshire and Cumbria and I have exhibited for many years in the Mall Galleries London with the Society of Women Artists.
