Anna’s sculptural ceramic work has the characteristics of common objects such as wheels, collars or rings. Her practice is informed by the multiple meaning of words and an interest in landscapes, collections and found objects that inspire feelings of safety or security – why we revisit and retain.
Anna studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art and Design and University of Brighton. She also completed City Lit’s Ceramics Diploma. Her work has been featured in Ceramics Review and selected for the British Ceramics Biennial.
“Anna’s work is fluid and full of movement. She takes the age old technique of wheel throwing and turns it on its head, breaking all the usual rules of this technique and producing work that is graceful and elegant, experimental but with a sense of real purpose as she celebrates the qualities of the different clays.” Eyam Sculpture Garden (where Anna’s work has been displayed)
