My initial explorations in photography began in 2010 with instant film. I was immediately fascinated by the timeless nature of this medium and by the fragility of the images produced, with all their irregularities and imperfections. Over the next five years I continued to explore this and other forms of alternative photographic and printing processes. I have studied art and design in both Sheffield and Leeds however, my interest in photography has been largely self taught.
Currently I work mostly with digital photography and negatives to produce cyanotype and photo-etch intaglio prints. The majority of my pieces are singular in nature and subject, yet follow a common theme; hinting at unanswered questions which draw the viewer further into the image.
