Jane Marsden

Mixed Media and textile work using printing, Eco dyed elements and hand embroidery. Felted Bowls and Eco dyed scarves and woven wall hangings.

My interest in nature and art began when I was very small, dog walking in the green spaces of Sheffield with my Grandad, a keen gardener and observer of life. I grew up painting and making my own versions of nature and the creatures in it.

My working life began as a trainee window dresser which morphed along a very winding road into a software tester, I felt like something was missing so I took a course on Art & Design, and my interest in creative pursuit’s was reignited. I decided to become what I had always meant to be and rediscover my artistic soul. I have since explored the glittering world of textiles, photography, recycled objects, wool, and print and am currently smitten by Eco Printing and weaving. I enjoy mixing media and textures together to create interesting and sometimes unexpected results, I produce mainly 3d pieces.
