Jules Weiss

I make jewellery and objects that explore ideas surrounding connection, place narrative and conversation. Collector, maker, lecturer, workshop facilitator and object interpreter.

Jules is based at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet at Studio Budgie Galore – a new creative workshop space running Jewellery and Craft Courses. An experienced fully qualified tutor; Jules runs daytime and evening courses, one day weekend workshops and jewellery making parties for ages 8 to adult.

Jules has exhibited work widely in galleries across the UK; making fun wearable pieces of jewellery and objects of curiosity inspired by museum collections and found objects. Jules is interested in materials and process and works with found materials, acrylic and metal. Current work explores ways to celebrate, commemorate and share objects through sensory, imaginative and storytelling engagement.

Jules currently lectures at Sheffield Hallam University and firmly believes that everyone can learn how to make objects and jewellery and loves to teach and facilitate this. Come and visit the studio, meet Jules and find out more about how to get creative.
