Annette Petch

I make jewellery in recycled silver and gold, formed by traditional techniques including forging, anticlastic raising, chasing and repoussé, inspired by woodland, gardens and seashore.

I work in recycled, ethically sourced, silver and gold, to produce intricate, delicate jewellery, and small artefacts such as bowls and boxes.

In recent years I have been experimenting with Argentium, a relatively new silver alloy. Argentium is 100% recycled and has some exciting properties, being very malleable and tarnish resistant. Currently I am making new work incorporating granulation, using Argentium with different coloured golds, inspired by the flower meadows around my studio.

I am fascinated by transitional areas, for example where rock edges meet water, or where the sea meets the shoreline, and the different textures produced over time, and several of my collections spring from this.

I sell my work through galleries and exhibitions, and love to make bespoke commissions for special occasions.
