Vivien Whitaker MRBS

Stroke ‘Selkie’ and other unique stone sculptures, dust montages and alabaster pendants.
Chat about creativity over coffee.
Fund raising for Music in the Round.

I have developed unique ways of sculpting sensuous stone that enhances its elemental essence and resonance. I co-create with each stone, working without a plan, responding to and revealing the vitality from within.

Rhythmic repetition of metal files and rifflers, stimulates a process I call ‘independent hands’ where my hands start working in ways my head didn’t have in mind.

‘I trust the wisdom of my hands. It is when I do my best, most dramatic work.’
Selkie, my much loved rare English Alabaster sculpture from Weston Park Museum is for sale as well as other work inspired by listening to Beethoven.

Prices from £20-£2,950.75% of all sales to Music in the Round

Trained by Peter Hibbard, a former assistant to Henry Moore, I am an elected member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and have a First class BA (Hons) in Art and Design.
