James Green

Linocut prints, screen-prints, posterprints and greeting cards; landscapes, UK wildlife and surreal donkey compositions.

I am a full-time artist/printmaker and I specialise in linocut prints and screen-prints. My subjects range from rural, urban and surburban landscapes to UK wildlife to surreal donkey compositions. I sell some of my work as original hand-pressed prints, some as poster-prints, some as greeting cards, and occasionally create work as other items such as enamel pin badges, bags and vinyl LPs.

I very much enjoy working within the limitations of printmaking, and the unpredictability of the mediums. I studied fine art at Sheffield Hallam University between 1992 and 1995, but only discover printmaking years later.

Outside of my personal work, I have created commissions for people like The Hepworth Wakefield, English Heritage, Abbeydale Brewery and Sheffield Children’s Festival.
