Tony Martin

Wood turning using both native and exotic woods.
Producing bowls, potpourri pots, tea light holders, pens, vases, fruit, candlesticks, rolling pins, and letter openers.

My father was a cabinet maker so from a very early age I was immersed in the world of wood. I would have loved to have followed my father in his chosen job but economic pressures pointed me to pursue other avenues. I still made items from wood throughout my life but purely as a hobby. Since retiring and having more time on my hands I have extended my ‘hobby’ so much so that I wonder how I fitted work in. My friends and family are of the opinion that the blood in my veins has been replaced by “sawdust”.
