Debra Burrell

Debra creates beautiful fused glass pieces that are freestanding, wall hanging or situated in reclaimed wooden bases. Her influences are the environment and the natural world. She often portrays trees, landscapes and seascapes . She is in Exchange Place Studios on the 4th floor. She loves the spectacular view of trees, rivers and nature. Debra makes layered panels adding colours and trees painted with enamels and fired. She is self taught and eager to learn techniques and apply them to her art. She’s making thicker pieces with nine or more layers to emphasise depth. Debra is experimenting with sgraffito, colour and patterns, making fused panels or leaded panels. Her work is unique, bespoke and handmade. She has sold at many fairs, worked in schools teaching art and enjoyed collaborating with local artists to deliver one-off pieces. She sells in independent shops in Sheffield, from her website and her Etsy online shop, AandDCreationsGlass.
