I have always been involved in art and design in its various forms, but for most of my working life, as a teacher rather than a practitioner. Over the past 6 years I have been able to readjust, and the creation of art is now my priority. Recently, I have been primarily working in acrylic paint on canvas, but I also express myself through collagraph printing and ceramics. Although my inspiration is eclectic, there is a degree of linkage across my work. Geometric forms, texture, and expressive colour feature repeatedly. Observation from multiple viewpoints is also a common thread in my work. We are constantly moving, even if it is only our eyes, therefore our viewpoint is rarely fixed. The inevitable juxtapositions that this creates, inspire much of my work.
