Mia Frampton

I make joyful earthenware domestic ware with accents of pearl and gold, as well as tea light holders in porcelain and bone china.

My main inspiration comes from my observations of nature, especially the mighty river Danube, by which I grew up and always carry in my heart.

When I create pieces in porcelain and bone China,I try to replicate the infinite changes of light as it hits the water surface.

I also like to make domestic ware in earthenware and high colours I use, usually bright reds, are a reference to folkloric representations of the East European culture I come from; also my childhood memories of enamel cooking vessels my mother used to use.
