I have recently retired as a Primary School Headteacher and when I was working the creation of art was very important for my wellbeing. Now I have more time to create, I am planning exhibitions and have a greater capacity for commissions and for classes if people would like to learn about the use of armature of carving techniques.

As well as other commissions, I have been commissioned to create sculptures of pets for bereaved pet owners which have helped them in their grieving process. I am inspired by the natural world, particularly by animals, but I am also influenced by art from preindustrial cultures. My sculptures are created using a variety of media, but mostly using concrete.

My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:

• Saturday May 11th
• Sunday May 12th

My studio is in my garden

• Visitors to the studio will be able to buy my work
• I’m happy to undertake commissions – please ask!
• Workshops and tuition are available
