I graduated from St Martins School of Art a long time ago and have since worked as an art teacher and an art therapist amongst other things. Latterly and for many years I ran a company which made sculpture commercially.
In 2015 I left the company and moved to southern Italy to have a fresh start. This allowed the time needed to get creative and I became interested in digital imaging and printmaking. These days I also make simple hand drawn animation films. I find having a studio in the form of an iPad very useful as it is so versatile and what’s more, its portable too!
My influences are many, perhaps the most consistent being Tove Janson, the author and illustrator of the Moomin books, elements from which seem to crop up even when I am trying to make “grown up” work.
