I studied Painting and Art History at the Athens School of Fine Arts.I graduated with distinction in 2012. I research and utilise painting materials and techniques that have their basis in the medieval ages, created by the Old Masters. My research has lead me to follow an Archaeological trajectory in order to combine Fine art and Archaeological Science through Material Culture.
I study and work on various art forms, such as realism, focused on figure study and portraiture, and abstraction. Through my artistic practice, I utilise oil as my main painting medium, occasionally combined with egg and casein tempera techniques. I create contemporary abstract artwork using colour field painting as my inspiration and reference, whilst my portraiture benefits from intensive research into the art of Italian and Northern European Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassicism, focusing on great painters such as Raphael and Hans Holbein, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and William Bouguereau accordingly.
