Many of the sculptures and pots reflect an assimilation of my felt sense of walking in nature. They are never intended as a literal interpretation of the weather or landscape, rather I hope they capture some of the experiences of being out in the elemental world. I aim to capture an essence or quality that is perceived implicitly.
I work using fine white stoneware clays which are honed down to create strong abstract forms.
My work has been represented in public and private collections since 1985 in Europe, N. America, Australasia, The Middle East, South Africa and Japan. Fellow of the CPA; Crafts Council Selected Index.
