Lizzy Alageswaran

I paint narrative and dream images, often about choices, and create anthropomorphic characters and decorative items in textiles.

My paintings seem to have developed a theme of journeys, often uncertain and unguided. Decision making is also a recurrent theme, and I create textile characters to explore how we decide our priorities and make decisions.

I teach painting and drawing and life drawing for the WEA and enjoy working collaboratively with communities and other artists. I also paint and create landscapes in textiles.
