Lizzy Alageswaran

I create paintings and willow, fabric and tissue sculptures inspired by local and dream landscapes and reflections of our wishes and treasures.

I work mainly as a painter of local and mountain landscapes and and of dream landscapes, often with a narrative. I also paint portraits in which I also like to embed a story about the subject.

I paint in oils, which have the texture, depth and the vibrant colour which I enjoy.

I also work in textiles to create large characters as a fun way to explore topics of wisdom, happiness and values at community events and festivals.

I teach painting and drawing with the WEA and in my studio.
