Annette Petch
I make jewellery in recycled silver and gold, formed by traditional techniques including forging, anticlastic raising, chasing and repoussé, inspired by woodland, gardens and seashore.
I make intricate, delicate jewellery- necklaces, earrings, bracelets, cufflinks and rings, in silver and gold. I welcome commissions, and also sell through galleries and exhibitions. I prefer to use recycled and ethically sourced materials as far as possible, so I mostly work in Argentium silver, which as well as being tarnish free, is also 100% recycled. I also like to combine this with different coloured golds. I often refashion gold from family jewellery to make new pieces. My influences are the structure and texture of natural forms- shells, seed pods, leaves, flowers, bark, rippled sand and swirling water. Places that inspire me are gardens, woodland and the seashore.
