Giedre Sadauskaite

I use an inventive mix of traditional techniques and materials to create a wide range of textile products and transferring onto different surfaces.

I use an inventive mix of traditional techniques and materials to create a wide range of textile products including hand painted silk dresses, silk and nuno felt scarves, silk paintings, lampshades, cushions and paper products.

As a painter and illustrator, I enjoy the creative challenge of transferring my design ideas onto the various forms and surface textures of my products, combining the two elements into something new and innovative.

My work is inspired by the colours, shapes and textures of nature and the folk stories, symbols and metaphors remembered from childhood legends and fairy tales.
