James Green

I’m an artist/printmaker and I specialise in linocuts and screen-prints. My subjects range from landscapes to wildlife to surreal compositions.

I’m an artist and printmaker, and I specialise in linocuts and screen-prints. I have been working in these mediums now for about sixteen years. I studied fine art at Sheffield Hallam University between 1992 and 1995, but didn’t discover printmaking until several years later. My subjects range from landscapes to UK wildlife to surreal donkey compositions and larger abstract works. I love the boldness of printmaking and the unpredictability.

I work mainly from my studio which is in my garden.

Outside of my personal work I have created commissions for people like English Heritage, Sheffield Childrens Festival and The Hepworth Wakefield.
