Krishna Alageswaran

Ceramics influenced by architecture, ancient cultures and painting. My work also celebrates the animal kingdom.

Hand built ceramic boxes with textured and patterned surfaces, showing the passing of time in the human landscape. Some boxes reference the relationship between the natural world and the urban environment. The surfaces on my work are achieved by applications of layers of slip, oxides and matte glazes with the use of multiple firing.

I also enjoy producing work that celebrates the animal kingdom.
