SUBMISSION NOTES FOR EXHIBITING ARTISTS

Submission details

Complete the online form and upload it.

The last day for submissions is 26/8/2022.

Artwork is selected on a first come basis, first served basis.

Hanging Fee

The hanging fees will be £12 for up to three pieces of artwork, and £16 for up to five pieces. Please pay the hanging fee online, once you have submitted your form, to the following account details:

Insurance

You are responsible for arranging your own insurance for your artwork. You must have Public Liability Insurance, and we advise that you arrange Exhibition Insurance for your work. Your household insurance may cover for theft so it is worth checking.

If you don’t have exhibition insurance we will ask you to sign a waiver to say you waive any right for payment or compensation for loss or damage to the artwork in the exhibition.

Artwork Specifications

  • Maximum size of 2D work is 60 x 90cm.
  • You can submit a piece of work in any medium including prints.
  • Frames used must be well-made and finished. Unframed canvases must be tidily finished around the edges. Hung works should have a hanging cord, attached with D-Rings, that cannot be seen when the picture is hung.
  • You must label your piece on the back (name of artist, title, price if for sale).

Important note:

This time, 2D work only will be exhibited at DINA, however we hope to have facilities to exhibit 3D work in the Christmas exhibition.

Pre-Show & Post-Show

If your application is successful, you will be emailed confirmation. (If unsuccessful, your hanging fee will be returned). Please bring proof of insurance with you when delivering. Your artwork will not be accepted otherwise. Open Up Sheffield will not be responsible for uncollected artwork and there is nowhere to store it.

DINA exhibition venue

Please deliver your work on Tuesday 30 August 2022 to DINA, 12 Fitzalan Square, Sheffield S1 2AZ and hand over to a member of the Open Up Sheffield Events Team between 10.00a.m and 1:00pm.

Please collect your work on Monday 5 September 2022 from the Open Up Sheffield Events Team between 10.00-12.00.

If you are unable to deliver or collect at these times, please arrange for someone else to do this for you. You will need to take away any packaging, then bring it back when you collect, as there is nowhere to store it.

Sales

If your artwork is for sale, any potential buyer will contact you directly, using the contact details displayed with your work.
