About Open Up

Open Up Sheffield is an annual event for artists and makers to open their studios to the public. Year on year this proves a popular event with thousands of visitors and often over a hundred artists listed in our brochure and on our website. The event is free to visitors who can explore the arts and crafts whilst discussing working methods with the artists and buying original art.

Open Up is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers and relying on applicant fees, sponsorship and advertising to support the marketing and running of the event.

Our Publicity

Our popular brochure has a circulation of around 6,500 and is free to visitors, who often retain the brochure for future gift buying, events and special occasions. We also promote the event through posters, leaflets, large banners on park tailings, online adverts and through social media.

The website www.openupsheffield.co.uk operates as an all year-round local arts directory with a profile page for every participating artist.

Sponsorship enables you to promote your business with a yearly presence on the website, a half page advert in the brochure, and your logo on advertising materials and newsletters. Sponsorship gives you the opportunity to demonstrate support for local art and crafts, small businesses, and community activities in and around Sheffield.

Sponsorship is through an annual minimum donation of £600.
