Anna Buehring
I create semi-abstract paintings, drawings, handmade books and cards. All available to buy. You can see work in progress and methods in my studio.
I trained in textile design, and I am drawn towards colour, form and pattern. I love to experiment with materials such as inks, charcoal, paint and collage letting the media lead me into more semi-abstract creations.
As a starting point I draw mainly upon the landscape, plants and other natural forms, but also combine these with objects in still life pieces. I seek out the essence in the source material and then follow a process of abstraction towards a more finished piece including incorporation into handmade books.
My house will be open creating an exhibition space for work on sale or just to view. This year I am sharing my space with my artist sister Sally Eliza Farrell who will also have work on show.
Nether Edge is a lovely leafy suburb with many cafes, pubs and Chelsea park to visit on your art trail.

My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:

- Sunday 3rd May
- Monday 4th May
About my studio
The purpose-built studio is in my garden which should be full of spring tulips and other greenery.
