Andrew Rodgers

I’m a photographer working in digital and medium format film. I’m inspired by the composition of urban landscapes and nature. I make photographic prints and cards.

I’ve long held a passion for photography as an artform but only recently taken then step towards putting my work out on display as I develop my style and skills.

I’m inspired by the built environment and how it directs the light and space around it and I look to create images that reflect how structures and spaces feel to me as well as finding incidental replicating patterns. I take forays into landscape and nature photography, particularly feeding my fascination with the form of trees. I also experiment with street style photography, trying to capture small moments of spectacle and transience.

Over the past year I’ve been included in group exhibitions at the Fronteer Gallery/Sheffield, Open Gallery/Halifax, Mill Gallery/Leeds and Old Parcels Office/Scarborough.
