Elizabeth Hewett

I work in clay and like to make slightly weird figures – some vaguely historical and some with a bit of a prehistoric vibe.

Isn’t pottery great? I’ve been a part-time novice for a few years and love how you can be creative and experimental at any level, with so many influences to choose from and experiences to join with. I’ve been on an anagama firing course in India (great shopping) and a creativity course in Devon (lovely seaside) and have a brill time every week with my fellow students at the Walkley Pottery. And now three of us students feel the time is right and we are getting together in Sarah Langridge’s beautiful house to show off what we have achieved in our classes. At the very least we hope to have a couple of fun weekends in her lovely garden while checking out the delights of the rest of Walkley.
