Elizabeth Timms
I tend towards the natural world using print and paint to produce images of landscape and plants. Recently moved from Bristol Yorkshire is an inspiration.
I am now interested in the textures, colours and patterns of the Peak District and am working on Abstract landscape in oils and acrylic. It has also lead me back to watercolour, which I have enjoyed for years for its soft looseness and lovely colours.
I also play around with plant and flowers with print, ink and collage.
It,s a kind of greediness. If its part of the natural world I want to grasp it
By contrast I enjoy the graphic quality of Lino print. I have made dozens over the years.
You will see I have not arrived at a final technique/practice and I suspect I never will. It’s all an experiment, an adventure leading who knows where and every now and then something ‘works’.
