Julie Cole

Julie Cole

I am an artist working in ceramics and linocut mainly inspired by British wildlife and make unique pieces for table, walls and gardens.

I am inspired by the native wildlife I see around me on my walks in Ecclesall woods and around the Peak District. At my studio you will see where I make my ceramics which are for both table and garden. Tableware consists of unique pieces with slip trailed native birds, animals and horses, and hand painted rock pool bowls. My horses are inspired by the Celtic legends of these Isles.

You will also be able to buy ceramic pieces made specially for gardens; such as planters, sculptures and water features. As a gardener, I aim to make garden pieces that set off the plants in them or surrounding them. I hope to open up my lovely back garden as well for visitors who are interested.

As a qualified Art teacher I make work in a variety of media which will be available alongside my ceramics.
