Lizz Tuckerman
My digital drawing experiments began during lockdown. Inspired by Ravilious, Bawden and Hockney, the English landscape, love of plants and Sheffield Botanical gardens.
Here you will find details, drawings, images and my thoughts on the exhibitions, commissions, collaborations, and scientific research that I have been a part of. I like to experiment with different media and to work across disciplines. Four examples are briefly described below, and I hope you will enjoy finding out more on my website.
‘Fourth most common’ a multimedia installation was commissioned by The Arts Council for an international science/art conference called Rules of Engagement hosted by the Centre for Novel Agricultural Projects, University of York.
‘Restoration of Hope’ and ‘Reflect on This’ were produced by lasertransfer of altered digital images onto glass. Both were hospital commissions.
The large charcoal and chalk drawings of ‘Nearly But Not Quite’ were exhibited at the Hybrid exhibition, Sheffield and at Synthesis, Manchester Science Festival. This work is concerned with miscarriage and the gap in perception between mother and medics.
