Lynne Wilkinson

I am an award winning artist, well known for my expressive animal and floral themes, using a rich palette of vibrant hues to create exciting and evocative paintings.

My studio/gallery is my home where I paint, drawing much of my inspiration from the residing animals, beautiful meadows and grasses nestled in the lovely Drone valley. My painting companions are very big personalities my labradors, yellow girl Bella, Black girl Bumble and chocolate girl Piper!

I won my first painting competition as a young teenager when I designed a guitar for Dave Hill from the pop group Slade. My claim to fame I was in the Jackie magazine..!!

I studied my BA at the faculty of Art & Design Psalter Lane Sheffield and was delighted to win an award from Magnolia Mouldings based in London. This was for a local landscape.

Further awards to name a few include winning the Best in Show two years running at the Great Sheffield Art show, Wildlife Winner twice at Art in the Gardens, the winner of celebratory portrait ‘Dave Berry’, runner up in Abstract catagory and I won the Prestigious Tarmac Landscape ward for my painting Monsal Head.

About my studio

Generally, I have around six paintings on the go at any one time: commissions, along side paintings I am inspired to paint randomly, plus pictures for outlets and my shows.
