Sheridon Davies

Paintings of landscape, figures and cars from the golden age of motoring. I get huge pleasure from painting and look forward to sharing my art with you.

I live in Woodseats but originally hail from Liverpool. My journey began in the world of national newspaper and magazine illustration in the 1960’s. At the turn of the century I discovered my passion for painting, building a long-standing career in classic motoring art. Now I enjoy capturing the beauty of landscapes, the charm of urban scenes and have recently moved into figurative subjects. The common thread that ties all my work together is to create expressive narrative scenes. I love it when viewers can draw their own interpretations or stories from what they see in my art. You might find my inspiration in a café, on a stretch of beach in Northumberland where fisher people go about their daily routines, or perhaps boats moored up along the serene Norfolk coast. My primary medium is acrylic but I also explore digital art and mixed media.
