Victoria Brailsford
I am a Barnsley based silver smith using traditional techniques and sustainable materials to create unique small batch jewellery and one off pieces.
I draw inspiration from adornments and talismans of ancient civilisations to dream up distinctive one off pieces.
I forge a deep connection with each project making them meaningful and fulfilling to create.
Some of the techniques I use are hammering, stamping, embossing, reticulation and adding granulation to add pattern and texture to my pieces.
I aim to make wearable art that can be carried close and that celebrates the everyday, personal style and individuality.
My work will be available to buy from the open studio.
I currently have collections in two galleries and have made various pieces for exhibitions.

My work will be shown in my friend Ruth Miemczyk’s studio in Barnsley.
