Viv Griffiths
Using dyes I have crafted from foraged woodland materials, I create two and three dimensional artworks that capture the beauty and essence of the natural world.
Growing up on the margins of farmland and countryside led to childhood adventures that developed in me curiosity and lasting appreciation of being a small part of a larger landscape. Wandering in my local park and garden has strengthened my enjoyment and understanding of the beauty and detail of what grows nearby.
I use botanical contact printing, natural dyeing and hand stitching, on natural fabrics, threads or paper. My processes are slow, mindful, and they express my appreciation for the natural world.
Each print or dye bath is unique. I enjoy responding to the random outcomes and working to develop them.
Recently my own life story has inspired me to start taking my natural processes in a new direction.

My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:
- Saturday May 3rd
- Sunday May 4th
