Wendy Carlton

I have been a professional artist for 40 years, painting large colourful florals, abstracts and landscapes using acrylics. I also create a range of homeware using images of my paintings.

I have painted with acrylics for about 28 years now exhibiting in many local and national exhibitions and galleries.

Before that I was a greetings card artist living in London working for several large companies on a freelance basis selling nationwide and overseas.

I started creating my homeware range about 8-9 years ago using printed images of my paintings. I make all the lampshades and cushions myself and will be demonstrating lampshade making at the open studios event.

I exhibit a lot work at this exhibition and always have a sale room where great bargains can be found of original paintings, prints and homeware.

Local to me in the area are beautiful walks in: Ecclesall Woods, Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet and Dore Village with an array of lovely shops and cafes. Be sure to pop into Paper Moon gift shop too.
