My artwork is representational, many of my prints depict rugged and rocky landscapes, showing the colours and shapes of stone, terrain, paths, and edges.
In 2012, I began printmaking, and now focus on this, although I have painted for many years. I continue to paint and draw within my current art practice and utilise many of the same thought processes and approaches for printmaking as for painting. The depictions of the rocks I make are topographically accurate, as well as capturing the spirit and character of the place, it is possible for climbers to pick out specific climbing routes and rocky features recognisable within my artwork.
My work has been exhibited throughout the UK . In 2019 I received a prize in the North Lincolnshire Print Open, 2018 the AIR Arts Prize in the Derby Print Open, and 2017 an award in the Derbyshire Open Art Exhibition.
