About Open Up

Open Up Sheffield is an annual event for artists and makers to open their studios to the public. Year on year this proves a popular event with thousands of visitors and often over a hundred artists listed in our brochure and on our website. The event is free to visitors who can explore the arts and crafts, whilst discussing working methods with the artists and buying original art.

Our popular brochure has a circulation of around 6,500 and is free to visitors, who often retain the brochure for future gift buying, events and special occasions. Our searchable website promotes our artists and advertisers throughout the year.

Advertising

An advert in our colour brochure will give you targeted access to artists and the visiting public with an interest in the arts and crafts, many of whom also take part in a creative activity. The advert will also appear on the website from when it is approved until 31st January 2027 and may also feature in our social media.

An advert with us is especially useful for businesses and organisations associated with the arts such as art galleries, art and craft materials suppliers, picture framers, and businesses providing other services to artists.

An advert is also suitable for studio blocks hosting exhibitions or activities during the event. Studio blocks hosting artists opening their studios are encouraged to apply as a Studio Group; an advert cannot name any artists opening their studios during the Open Studios event who have not applied as an individual or as part of a Studio Group. We reserve the right to cancel any advert at any time whilst accepting no liability for any damages of losses suffered by the advertiser. Please see general terms and conditions as set out on the Open Up website.

Advertising in our A5 size colour guide costs and dimensions:

• Full A5 page – £560
  Portrait: 148.5mm wide X 210mm high
• Half A5 page – £280
  Landscape: 132.5mm wide X 93mm high
• Quarter A5 page – £140
  Portrait: 62.5mm wide X 93mm high

The closing date for payment is 31st January 2026 and the deadline for receiving your finished graphics for the brochure is 14th February 2026.

• Resolution: Minimum 300dpi, Colour: CMYK
