Andrew Sterling

Hello, my name is Andrew.

I graduated from art school in 2012 and have been based in Sheffield at Vulcan works since 2014.

I have always been fascinated by detail and complexity, this is a key feature of my work.

I mainly use pencils and watercolours to draw and paint landscapes.

I am inspired by natural and built environments and the interplay between them.

I am drawn to subject matter through my emotional responses; light, colour and form. Finding beauty in unconventional places is an ongoing explorative aspect of my practice.

My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:

• Saturday May 4th
• Sunday May 5th
• Monday May 6th
• Saturday May 11th
• Sunday May 12th

My studio is in Vulcan studios, a converted pub between the canal and river Don.

• Visitors to the studio will be able to buy my work
• I’m happy to undertake commissions – please ask!
