Semi-abstract paintings and handmade books inspired by the natural environment, calligraphy and stitching. Paintings, drawings, cards and books to buy. Studio work on view.
I am an eclectic artist creating semi-abstract work based upon the form, textures, and colours in the landscape, plants and rocks. My paintings are developed through a process of drawing, mark making, collage and print making techniques through experimentation with different media, observation and emotional expression.
I am drawn towards patterns; either natural or man-made, which provide a source of inspiration for the creation of completely abstract works based on lines and calligraphy using water-based ink. I incorporate my own drawings and patterned design into handmade books which become a fully complete piece in themselves.
Finished paintings, drawings, cards and handmade books will be available to buy.
Sketchbooks, work in progress and materials will be on view in my studio.
I have exhibited in the Ferens Open Exhibition, Hull and the Old Lockup gallery, Cromford.
Studio visits
My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:
- Saturday May 3rd
- Sunday May 4th
- Monday May 5th

Purpose built studio in my garden with work in progress and art materials on show. Finished works exhibited in my house.
