Semi-abstract paintings and handmade books inspired by the natural environment, calligraphy and stitching. Paintings, drawings, cards and books to buy. Studio work on view.

I create semi-abstract work based upon the natural world, such as landscape, plants and rocks. My work is developed through a process of drawing, mark making, collage and print making techniques inspired by observation and emotional expression.

I am drawn towards patterns; either natural or man-made, which provide a source of inspiration for the creation of completely abstract works based on lines and calligraphy using water-based ink. I incorporate my own drawings and patterned design into handmade books which become a fully complete piece in themselves.

Finished paintings, drawings, cards and handmade books will be available to buy.

I have exhibited in the Ferens Open Exhibition, Hull and the Old Lockup gallery, Cromford.

About my studio

Purpose built studio in my garden showing sketch books, work in progress and art materials. Finished works exhibited in my house. This year I have a wonderful guest artist, Judith Webster also showing her work.
