Anna Perotti

Anna Perotti

I paint semi-abstract works inspired by the Peaks, capturing the mood of fog, stormy skies, and light to evoke the emotion of being immersed in the landscape.

In my paintings, I strive to capture the memory of a passing moment in the landscape – wrapped in fog, surrounded by moors, stormy skies, and magical light.

Each piece begins with bold, expressive strokes of acrylic paint, emphasising the scene’s energy. I then build depth and texture by layering fluid acrylic inks, to portait the light. I add markings with charcoal pencils and soft pastels, suggesting grasses swaying in the wind or the rugged texture of rocks.

My work is semi-abstract or abstract, focusing on the mood and emotion of being immersed in nature. Through layers of texture, colour, and gestural markings, I aim to bring the landscape’s raw beauty to life, inviting viewers to feel the moment as I experience it.
