My artwork can be a response to an event, such as the felling of much loved trees; or a place: the studio I share in a converted cutlery works was a source of inspiration for some time after I moved there more than ten years ago.

Recently, due in part to being confined to home in a caring role and the covid lockdown, I have looked to my own collections of objects plants and ephemera for inspiration. The photographic scanned images on display are a result of my investigating ways to record my response to these personal items. This work is ongoing, alongside an exploration of making monoprints currently.

Recycling and reusing are also an important aspect of the processes explored.

My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:

• Sunday May 5th
• Monday May 6th
• Sunday May 12th

Based in a former cutlery works ,this bright and airy space is shared with other artists. Expect to see work in progress, as well as artworks for sale.
