Stag Works Ceramic Artists

We are two ceramic artists sharing a space inside Stag Works, a former cutlery works steeped in history.

Surrounded by musicians, clothes designers and stone masons, we create ceramic works for the gallery and home.

Brought together by our unique making methods, using mostly our hands as tools, we create one off works designed to be treasured.

A little more about us both:

Sophie Farrar creates artworks produced in porcelain and stoneware using traditional hand building techniques, manipulating slabs of clay to piece together her forms. From concept to realisation, great importance is placed on process, often using painstaking techniques to achieve her unique texture and pattern.

Ruth Wilde is a ceramic artist who makes homeware for sensitive souls. Her work is playful, romantic and nostalgic. The pieces she creates use colour, pattern and text to resonate with those who use them.
