I am a figurative artist, primarily interested in drawing and painting portraits. I mainly use oils, using both traditional and new techniques.
I am a portrait artist and occasional mural artist, working under the name Studio Mayer. When carrying out portrait commissions, I paint and draw in a realistic style to capture the essence of the sitter’s character. When painting personal projects, I am more experimental and it’s all about capturing the moment. My main influences are European artists of the late 19th and early 20th century, e.g. Gabriele Münter, Therese Schwartze and Egon Schiele.
Studio visits
My studio will be open 11am – 5pm for visits on the following days:

- Sunday May 5th
- Monday May 6th
- Saturday May 11th
About my studio
The studio is at the back of Fulton’s yard, above the garages. I’ll be displaying work, selling work and doing portraiture demos.
