North Sheffield – including Hillsborough, Stannington, Southey and Oughtibridge

This area is a fantastic mix of urban and rural settings.

Off the beaten track, combine your visit to Oughtibridge or Stannington artists with beautiful walks along the Rivers Don, Loxley or Rivelin, (stunning with bluebells and other wildflowers in bloom) or walk from Stannington with fabulous Peak District views. Enjoy an ice cream at Our Cow Molly or visit the Rivelin pub for lunch, or the cafe in Stannington park for coffee and yummy cake. Oughtibridge Artist & Makers group will also be showing on 3rd May.

The tram is very handy – by the Leppings Lane Tram shop is the wonderful Cupola Gallery and the Green shop is just up the hill on Wadsley Lane, selling local art, handmade cakes and exotic cheese. The High Street has several independent shops including Annie Judes with locally made gifts, the joyful Hillsborough Bookshop with its spiral staircase, Fine Fabrics is an Aladdin’s cave of materials and artist Luke Horton has his shop here too.

Relax in the walled garden at Hillsborough Park or for the peckish there are many wonderful cafes nearby, and extra fun at the new pump track, mini golf and Padel Courts.
